Challenge no2
Your second challenge is to pick a stock photo of an eye (or take a picture of your own eye) and vector the same eye atleast 3 times in different styles.
- if you are new to vector then don't think about acheiving a style - just play around with it and see what happens.
- if you are an experienced vector artist then at least one of the variations should be a style you haven't attempted before or haven't used very much.
none of the eyes have to be perfect or finished or anything - they are only supposed to be a small practices, helping you to discover how much you can do with vector. You have two weeks to finish the eyes, when the two weeks are over there will be a small contest - only the ones who entered the challenge can participate in the contest. There will be two parts of the contest; a beginner and an advanced.

never mind that if it says it's vexel, the techniques are somewhat the same. And remember that you can always ask if you want an advise on a work in progress or if you're just stuck somehow.
Support in #
vectorgsm will be ongoing - I will try to be there as much as I can this whole week and especially today and tomorrow - I will update this journal with a timetable once I have a more scheduled plan for the week

Challenges
Every month or every other week I will post a challenge - it could be everything from working with colours to making a cartoonish character or a lineart portrait.
The point of the challenges will be to try out new things, new styles and advancement in general. For beginners #
vectorgasm will serve as the help center for these challenges - you can come in and ask advice from me or other vector artists who are above beginner level. These other vector artists may also participate in the challenges in hopes of fine tuning a long lost technique or trying out a new one. Once the challenge is over all the pieces will be featured and a participant will be interviewed about working with that particular thing.
For every challenge a time table will be set up where you can see when I will be available in the chat.
Mini Contests
Now that everyone has had the chance to try out a technique or something similar a small contest can take place. The contest won't be longer than 1-2 days and could be as short as 1-2 hours. The objective in the contest would of course be to use what you've learned from the challenge within a certain theme.
There won't be a contest for every challenge and the prizes will vary.
Participate and win
If you participate in the most challenges during the next 6 months you will get your portrait done by me
